Summer.

Summer completely ran away with me, and I haven't been able to dedicate as much time as I would have liked to reading. I am hopefully now back on track, I have just finished book 23 and will be starting book 24 at some point today.

I would have preferred to have been past the halfway point by now but I am not far off. I just need to find some books to add to my reading list! If you have any recommendations I would love to hear them.

Book 22 - One Day (David Nicholls)

ONE DAY - David Nicholls

What can I say about this book that isn't written all over the cover... Witty, clever, absorbing, moving... Just fantastic. I absolutely adored this book from start to finish and at the end I was moved to tears and left feeling like I had lived their lives with them every step of the way.

Following a man and a woman and their friendship spanning twenty years, this story is a wonderful and clever tale of friendship, loyalty and true love. As heart wrenching as it is heart warming with real laugh-out-loud moments, it is just utterly, utterly brilliant.

Absolutely outstanding, a first-class read. If you only read one book this year, make it this one.

Book 21 - Before I Go to Sleep (SJ Watson)

BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP - SJ Watson

Wow! I was hooked from the word 'go' and couldn't put it down, this book is a real "page turner".

Detailed, gripping and full of suspense, SJ Watson keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout this thriller of a story.

Without giving too much away as I don't want to ruin or reveal any of the twists and turns, the story follows the character of 'Christine' as she starts piecing together her life after she suffers amnesia.

SJ Watson has produced a masterpiece, very clever and well written. A riveting must-read.
